On Tuesday 19 June we were delighted to welcome nearly 200 people to the launch Urban Splash’s “It Will Never Work” exhibition in our newly refurbished ground floor exhibition space in Birmingham.
As part of the evening, West Midlands Mayor Andy Street officially opened the exhibition and Glenn hosted an entertaining Q&A with Urban Splash founders Tom Bloxham and Johnathan Falkingham, exploring how they started, their unorthodox thinking and ambitions for the future.
This touring exhibition, co-curated with RIBA North, explores Urban Splash’s award-winning projects in the context they were created and against the specific challenges and opportunities of the time. Amongst the developments celebrated are two iconic Birmingham projects; the Grade II Listed Rotunda building and the transformation of Fort Dunlop.
This free exhibition is open weekdays from 20th June – 17th July (now extended to 12th September) from 10am – 4pm @ Glenn Howells Architects, 321 Bradford Street, Birmingham, B5 6ET
