September saw the launch of Wardian London for clients EcoWorld and Ballymore. This visionary project consists of two new luxury residential towers of fifty and fifty-five storeys, located just south of Canary Wharf, in the heart of London’s financial centre. In addition to the high-end apartments, the project boasts commercial, leisure facilities and innovative sky gardens by landscape specialist Camlins.
The inspiration behind Wardian London is the explorer, botanist, and inventor, Nathaniel Bagshaw Ward, a doctor, who invented a method of transporting plant life across vast distances in his innovative glass ‘Wardian cases.
Hosted in Ballymore’s Design Cube, guests were entertained with gin cocktails at a preview of Wardian London’s rooftop observatory bar – set to be the largest botanical gin garden in London.
