GHA’s Urbanest King’s Cross is a 27-storey student accommodation landmark tower on the eastern edge of the King’s Cross regeneration area in London.
The ‘Urbaneat’ café is a lively social hub for the residents on the ground floor. At the heart of the café is a central timber-clad feature bar, surrounded by a variety of seating including open plan benches, lounge areas and intimate alcoves which offer places to dine with friends or study alone. Careful space planning and a mix of built-in joinery and flexible, robust loose furniture creates space for 60+ covers.
The interior palette responds to the industrial aesthetic of exposed concrete and services, with warmth and colour added using timber and a playful interpretation of the clients branding.
These functional, robust finishes are paired with statement lighting - creating an environment that is durable, creative and homely.
