The first phase of Birmingham’s transformational Paradise scheme won planning approval this week. The GHA designed seven-storey Two Chamberlain Square will complement the historic setting, with a five-storey portico fronting onto Chamberlain Square and stepping back at the sixth floor with a roof terrace. GHA are working with development manager Argent, on behalf of Hermes Investment Management and Birmingham City Council to generate the vision for the eight-acre site.
GHA Director, Dav Bansal, said ‘We are delighted to be a part of the team for phase one of the Paradise Masterplan. This is another great step towards achieving the vision for our city’s civic heart. Phase One will not only transform the place with the quality public realm and retail offer but also create a world-class setting for the heritage buildings alongside the two new contemporary additions that will redefine Chamberlain Square.’
