The £500 million regeneration of Paradise Circus in Birmingham, now known as “Paradise”, has commenced. The demolition of the old Central Library and Paradise Forum shopping centre will take place this month and will be replaced with new office blocks and improved links with the city’s Westside, creating a series of new traffic-free streets and squares and downgrading major highways.
GHA worked with Argent and Birmingham City Council to generate the vision for the eight acre site and are now delivering one of the grade A office buildings which will go in for planning later this year. The proposed office will sit alongside the Town Hall and address the western edge of the square.
The entire Paradise project is scheduled for completion in 2026.
