Planning has been secured for phase two of the National Memorial Arboretum’s development.
Following the success of the award-winning Remembrance Centre, the National Memorial Arboretum have employed GHA to design their new ‘Events Pavilion’.
The ‘Events Pavilion’ replaces the temporary events marquees and comprises flexible events spaces and meetings rooms to provide a permanent home for the wide range of events hosted at the NMA each year. Dedicated catering facilities ensure the new facility is equipped to cater for banquets of up to 300 people and a new bar provides space for drinks receptions and evening functions.
The simple plan diagram, extensive use of glazing and rear terrace enable the new facility to capitalise on views across the unique arboretum landscape whilst the light coloured timber cladding and crisp steel frame further encapsulate the concept of a ‘Pavilion in the Landscape’.
