GHA has been appointed on both Curzon Station in Birmingham and on Interchange station. As Urban Realm architect on Curzon, GHA is working to integrate this major piece of infrastructure into the city. Working with Grant Associates on landscaping, GHA is providing new parks and open space as well as creating multimodal connectivity around the station. Similarly, on Interchange, GHA is working with ARUP to manage opportunities for growth around the station.
Andy Street, Mayor of the West Midlands, said: “These brand new stations will be catalysts for regeneration, creating jobs and opportunities for local people and economic benefits for Birmingham and the Midlands. Curzon Street station will put Birmingham at the heart of Britain’s new high-speed network and enhance the rail connectivity for the city, whilst Interchange provides a once in a life time opportunity to help drive the growth of the region.”
